New Electronic Software Newsletter from the SCI

The 2008 edition of the Steel Construction Yearbook featured a software tools compendium, listing freely available design tools and software for the steel industry. The compendium will shortly be available electronically and following on from this, the SCI will distribute an electronic newsletter making it easier for engineers and designers to access this valuable resource.

The software newsletter will be published quarterly, providing new sponsorship and advertising opportunities, as well as details of new releases, software updates and a link back to the software tools compendium. It will be sent to over 20,000 live registered software users of the SCI and will allow the possibility to directly measure the user engagement with content. SCI will be striving to ensure that user interest is maximised by pointing to some of the best free software tools and offering early release copies of new tools and web content.

The first edition will be available in March. It is to be sponsored by Bestech and AceCAD and will contain a preview of some new composite design software to be released by CMF Ltd.
