Eurocode Blue Book hits 1000
In April 2009 the SCI published an interactive Eurocode blue book in conjunction with the Information provider IHS.
For the first time subscribers to the Construction Section of the IHS licensed service will discover a fully operational interactive ‘blue book’. The data tables span a number of product families including the Corus Advanced® section range and the British Standard BS4 section range.
From the SCI licencing system we see that use is most prevalent at the moment amongst the larger licensees at the present but use is growing rapidly and recently passed the 1000 registered user milestone.

A number of key features distinguish this product. We recognise that the technical background and nomenclature is very important as users migrate to the Eurocodes. All design tables are contextually linked to the technical background material describing where the data comes from. All symbols used are contextually linked to plain English descriptions.
When analysing product functionality we looked at the use of the traditional blue book to determine how it is used and what functionality should be included in a product. So the key features include the ability to generate personal tables in span ranges of user choice and the ability to carry post-it™ type notes on all pages. Taken together with a vast array of other personalisation features the individual can make the Eurocode blue book their own.
You can join the blue book User group is informed of new developments and received early release copies of new software.
