Our work ranges from new design recommendations and technical calculations through to a health and safety project aimed at reducing the occurrence of onsite accidents among construction workers.

Steelbiz is a comprehensive information system offering 24/7 online technical information on all structural and design technical aspects and best practice guidance.
Steelbiz is constantly up-dated in order to provide all the information you need to make your business more competitive. It also includes a Members' area which contains premium content and tools. Steelbiz is free but only SCI Members can print most documents.
It provides access to a wide range of resources including technical guidance, design data, products and services, case studies, worked examples and CPD lectures by bringing together the following electronic information libraries:
- SCI technical information including SCI Publications, technical reports and Advisory Desk Notes.
- Directory of companies providing products and services to the steel construction sector.

Access Steel
Access Steel provides free, speedy, multi-lingual access to Eurocode guidance, much of which his non-contradictory complemetary information (NCCI) and referenced in the national annexes.
This quality assured website gives a range of information comprehensive tools and resources such as case studies, conceptual design guidance, flow charts and more than 250 interlinked technical resources to assist integration and cross-referencing.

E-Advisory
E-Advisory provides fast, independent, authoritative advice on technical matters on all aspects of steel in construction that could lead to technical conflicts. Questions are dealt with in total confidentiality by one of our experts who include engineers, architects, and building physicists.

Typically advisory questions are dealt with by phone or email, however in some cases clients commission SCI to provide additional niche support, site inspection, advanced analysis and design reviews.
Yearbook
This annual compendium comprises everything that SCI considers to be the key developments for the year for the steel construction industry, including codes and standards update, advisory desk notes, and a round up of software available for designers. Traditionally produced in a hard copy format, the Yearbook content is gradually being moving towards appearing solely in electronic form on the SCI website.
