Steel Frame Stability

Frame stability concerns the significance of second-order effects and is highlighted as an essential check for all frames in BS 5950 and EC3. Whilst in many braced frames the effects will not be significant, designers should be confident in using the simple checks to determine frame sensitivity, and the simple rules to allow for such effects
