General Information
SCI Courses are run to equip engineers to design competently, efficiently and safely. The courses also keep engineers updated with latest developments within steel design.
The courses are run throughout the UK and Ireland giving everyone an opportunity to attend. Courses vary in content and duration, ranging from one and two day in-depth Technical Courses to 4 hour seminars. Examples and workshops are included to enable a greater understanding and appreciation of the subjects.

Organisation of Key speakers
The SCI can provide speakers for Regional Institutional Seminars for IStructE, ICE, RIBA, CIOB and CIBSE.
Speakers can also be organised for in-house training programmes.
Course Fees
Prices for all courses include course notes and where applicable will include, lunch and a publication where relevant to a specific course.
Group Discount
For a company group booking of three or more people on any course at one time a discount of 10% will be given on the total price. Discounts are only applicable to SCI courses. This discount does not apply to any of the short seminars or jointly run courses.
Professional training
All delegates who attend SCI courses will receive an Attendance Certificate for Continuing Professional Development programmes.

Payment
Payment for any course must be made prior to the course commencement.
A delegate who does not attend the course without prior notice to the SCI will be charged the full course fee.
Payment for a course can be made by:

- By Cheque
- Bank Transfer (Please phone for more details)
Cancellations
In the case of a delegate cancelling a place less than 7 working days prior to the course commencement date, fees are non-refundable. There will be no charge made for cancellations prior to this date and any delegate substitutions are welcome. If a delegate does not attend the course and no prior notice has been given to us, the course fee will be payable in full.
The Steel Construction Institute reserves the right to cancel courses if they are under-subscribed. In such cases any course fees paid will be fully refunded. We may also, in exceptional circumstances, use substitute lecturers.
